It sucks when...

We aim for the stars but we don't have the brains to achieve it.

Oct 25, 2011

It sucks when....

Your best isn't enough.

Maths test. LOL

You know that feeling you get when you have prepared yourself for something where can you just shout out cockily "Give me you best shot", but in the end, you're actually weren't half as ready as you should be?

I made that complicated.

I meant have you studied so hard for a test or something but still can't achieve your satisfactory goal?

Of course you have.

Well, the thing about test is that if you don't have the proper study technique, exams can really give a wedgie while pouring a bucket of ice cubes down your pants and leave you hanging on a meat hook in a meat freezer.

That's what happened to me today.

It was not as hard as waking up at 6am on a Saturday nor was it as tough as trying to ignore the alarm clock.

Well, it's not as bad as I made you picture it, but still, I felt I could do better if only I had studied not my ass off but studied smartly and wisely.

But of course, it happened and there's no way I could turn back time to fill in the hole of my regrets. I am proud enough to say that I gave it my best shot and whatever the result is, it's what I'm capable to achieve.

I just wanna complain.

Have a nice day peeps!

Malaysians love demoralising news!

These are the two snaps I took from last night at around midnight at today around noon. 12 hours later, what news are the most viewed?

Are we concern Malaysians or do we just indulge ourselves in such immoral activities?

Think about it people. Why does this happen?

So yeah, I'm gonna read those news too!

Have a nice day peeps!

Physics test.

I have a test tomorrow for Energy and Motion.

Let's see how it goes.

Need to get some mental rest.

Or else :

Q:  What's the average velocity of the car if it travels for 12km in 20s from rest?
A:  Godspeed.

Life's tiring so far. Why am I not adjustable?

I hope I have a nice day peeps!

Questions..

Why have I have been so lazy lately?
Why do I feel like I'm running away from something?
To what am I distancing myself too?

What is my conscience up too?

All fragments of my desire have been blown away.
Am I inviting a new desire?
Or am I building up the fragments I've thrown away?

What do I want?
What's my purpose?
What's my aim?

Why do I want this?
Why is this my purpose?
Why is that my aim?

How do I get what I want?
How do I know it's my purpose?
How do I achieve my aim?

Where do I get what I want?
Where do I find my purpose?
Where does my aim lead me to?

Questioning leads to searching. Searching leads to finding answers. And answers will lead to questioning.

The cycle goes.

Why do I ask questions?
Cause it's by asking that we know what we need.

Have a nice day peeps!

JJ.

A great song to make your day go :).

You make me smile.

The shade of the night swayed me away,

To a capable view of the sunrise,

That embraces your beauty in a glorious design,

All rays of my desire shine on you.

Just some of the interesting photos I've taken lately.

I went home and googled 'facelook' right away to see if this is some kind of a popular outlet and actually got positive results!

THIS!

Check it out yourselves.

So it's RM31.80 for the pair.

This actually the cheapest I've seen in my life. RM5 for 3 collar T-Shirts.

Differene of RM10?

I actually can't figure this one out. I really. Just. Can't.

Not so innovative Malaysian. I can only imagine the annoying rustling sound it makes while driving at a high speed. I have almost a similar problem with my Kelisa. Can't wind down.I wanted to blame the quality of locally manufactured cars but the car below blew me away from that thought.

Now who wouldn't want a car with wifi but only funcitons for YouTube Vids?

Dad kills teen’s married boyfriend

AN ENRAGED man who learned that his teenage daughter was having an affair with a married man hacked the girl's lover to death at Lalgudi village in India's Tamil Nadu state.

Malaysia Nanban reported that before the incident on Monday, John Kennedy had warned 28-year-old Gopalakrishnan to stay away from his daughter.

But John's daughter, 16-year-old Jasmine Christina, also did not want to leave her boyfriend.

After repeatedly failing to break up the pair, the father blocked Gopalakrishnan while he was cycling in the village and killed him with a sickle.

Lessons to be learned from this news article I've taken from StarOnline.

  • Never mess with a man who has a sickle.
  • Never date a 16 year old girl if you're 28.
  • Never date a 28 year old guy if you're 16.
  • Never go cycling if you're married.
  • Avoid hackers. (pun intended)
  • Don't get married before you're 28 for guys.
  • Don't go for married guys if you're 16.
But seriously, this is shocking news, and of course, these are the kind of news that we love to read. That we find enticing. Entertainment at its top notch.

I happen to be one of the many people(victim) who are engineered by the media to enjoy unfortunate news.

Surely you are too right?

My condolences to the hacked victim's family.

Have a nice day peeps!

Thank you Swinburne!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Swinburne! Unfortunately, my parents can't make it. But it's okay. Still happy!

Have a nice day peeps!

My message to the PM.

Taken from today's StarOnline.

PEKAN: Every Malaysian can become successful with a national education system that does not discriminate, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

He said the country’s education system had opened a pathway for many individuals to become successful within just one generation.

“We can see that our leaders, corporate figures, professionals and scholars are successful today because of an education system that made social mobility a reality,”

This system, he added, was probably much better than those practised in other advanced countries, where only people with status and means could have the opportunity to become successful.

“If a person were to be born as the child of a labourer in a ghetto, they would have a very narrow chance of succeeding in life,”

“Even if they are successful, it is because they have extraordinary skills in boxing or basketball."

“Whereas in Malaysia, we have the opportunity to change our lives through education due to our system that allows anyone regardless of economic status to enjoy success as long as they have the will.”

Then why was I not given a place in a government University when my I have CGPA of 3.00 in my STPM, sir? I had to go to a private university now and apply for PTPTN loan. Even that, PTPTN doesn't give a full loan so I have to pay the extra thousands of Ringgit with my parents money who are close to retirement.

I'm not judging that this is a mistake. But I'm thinking that what you have said might be a little overstretched.

If our education system is better than other advanced countries, does that mean that very soon that we are going to be more advanced than them? Since education is one of the fundamentals in achieving a more advanced country. Or am I too naive too see your point of view, sir?

And how extraordinary is extraordinary skill? There are many people I've seen in sports like NBA or football that possess average sportsmanship but still made it into professional sports. Why? Cause these advanced countries also focuses on groups of people who can't excel in their education but can excel in sports. Do we have that here, sir? I love basketball, but it seems as though that professional sports in this country is still behind many other countries.

And do you know that in schools now, there are many hidden fees that we have to pay? Co-curriculum fees, PIBG fees, School uniforms, Books, Photocopying worksheets and etc. It is true that they have the will, they have the opportunity to achieve success, but how many from the lower income group possess the will to handle all these 'hidden' fees? I suggest that this 'fees' should be looked into by your people, sir.

This is not me bashing the government or you sir. I believe you have good intentions but at times, you may be a little outstretched and forgot the little Malaysians whom in the present, might seem tedious and don't have any effect on your status as a Prime Minister.

But aren't we, the people. your priority?

I'm a Malaysian who's just voicing out my thoughts.

I know it's near impossible for you to come across this post, or even my blog, but I hope others who share the same message I have will reach to your understanding.

God bless Malaysia.

Have a nice day peeps!

"The Joker." It's hard to bring down to have a serious conversation.

Bottom. Dominic Lian. Been friends for the last 7 years.

"The Long Day Is Over"

After a long and tiring day, this is the perfect song to make you feel satisfied and complimented.

It can sometimes stir a melancholic feeling, brings up those nostalgic moments..

In other words, it's just a beautiful song to end cool down your hard day..

Norah Jones can often make me feel dreamy and transcends me away from here for a while..

This song lasts for 2:45 and consists of only 33 words. Yet, it's magical.

Feeling tired
By the fire
The long day is over

The wind is gone
Asleep at dawn
The embers burn on

With no reprise
The sun will rise
The long day is over

Hubby claims wife raped by ‘invisible man’

From todays StarOnline

A MAN has claimed that his wife was raped by an “invisible man”, Sin Chew Daily reported.
The youth, in his 20s, said his wife would remove her clothing, touch her own body and moan while sleeping at night, since a month ago.
He sought help from a me- dium, who then told him that someone had used black magic to take away the wife's “soul” and rape her.
The couple, from Bintulu, Sarawak, lodged a police report but the cops could not do anything to arrest the “invisible man”.

I'm so proud to be from Bintulu!!

Engineering Drawing.

Can someone make love engineering drawing?

"It's all up to you"
"No one can help you but yourself"
"What's drawing?"
"Engineers draw?"
"Since when do engineers know how to draw?"

It's when science meet art. Or rather, logic.

Somehow, the engineering part just doesn't seem to find it's way to my artistic side.

Even the ruler can be confusing.

"Eh, itu jurutera ada klas melukis ah? Saya tidak pandai guna itu pembaris buat garis. Nak pakai yang cm ka Inch punya tepi untuk buat itu garis?"

It's not that I hate drawing so much. It's the tediousness that I have to go through when doing the task. It's more like precision drawing.

"Eh, kalau 1cm sama dengan 10mm , 1mm sama dengan berapa inci leh?"

It's time consuming.

"Rex, it's been a week since you passed the deadline to submit your tutorial. Have you started drawing?"
"Draw?"

And I really can't picture and know what to draw.

"Rex, you draw this lines joining here and there. Then you extend the line so that it meets here. After that you must draw the dimensions and stat here. After finishing that, write down your name in this column and proceed to draw a curve here after you've done drawing the line in mm that is not more than what the rule states so that you can get marks if you draw correctly"
"Okay. I understand that part, sir. But when do I start drawing?"

I don't know. I just don't like to draw. Adding salt to wound, I have to do it neatly, which is an aspect I've kept hidden deep in my inner core, never to be found again.

"Rex! Why your work so messy?"
"Are all good engineers neat and tidy, sir?"

I just don't want to fail or get just a minimum pass for this subject.

I haven't started using AutoCAD yet.

Don't know what will happen then.

Have a nice day peeps!

Green light means pretty colour in the sky?

Why do some people slow down when the traffic light is green?

Just to make sure that the traffic light doesn't turn yellow ah?
So that you have enough time to decide to accelerate or to brake ah?

So annoying la some people in traffic.

Fortunately, Lite.fm is constantly playing an ad that goes something like this :

"It's easy to lose your temper on the road. Like when someone suddenly cuts your lane or someone threw an egg at your windshield or even maybe even a police officer pulling you over in the middle of traffic to ask for directions to the nearest 7Eleven. In no circumstances must you resort to violence and knock down the motorcyclist who knocked your side mirror while overtaking you."

Something like that la. Can't remember the whole thing.

So I just had to join the car in front of me, cruising down the road while admiring the beautiful greenery of the traffic light.

Haiya. If the traffic light is still green, you don't have to slow down to take picture of the traffic light and twitpic it just to tell your friends you've waited your whole life for it to happen.

Green means go.
Yellow means pedal to the meta.
And red? You can go head la if you want to meet your maker early.

Drive safe.
And SMART.

Have a nice day peeps!

"A Circle That Doesn't Quite Meet"

An awesome interview with a great man of science and music. Love Brian May.

The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking And Leonard Mlodinow

I remember buying "A Briefer History Of Time" a couple of years ago ; it's an updated version of Hawking's bestselling "A Brief History of Time"; a book by Hawking and Mlodinow. And I was really fascinated by the contents of the book as it made look at the universe in a whole different perspective, a perspective I never knew existed!

The manner in which Hawking explained briefly about how science have evolved throughout the many centuries was just alluring and despite my busy schedule then, I was able to able to finish the book within a few days.

And just last year, both Hawking and Mlodinow produced another new book, which similarly tackle the most common question asked by Hawking "Is there a need for a divine being in the creation of the universe?" . His idea of the beginning of time certainly opposes my religious beliefs, but the curiosity I have in what he has to say just made have to buy this book, only with an open mind.\

I got this book a few weeks ago, but only recently manage to find time to indulge in this book. I know I won't be disappointed.

What is reality?

Are you being yourself?

Do you know how to be yourself?

Do you know who you are?

Do you know yourself?

Who are you?

Are you sure you are being yourself?

Are you sure you're not being what the society/media want you to be?

Enslaved.

Time chains to our feet,
While we stand in between,
The future pulls us ahead,
As we drag along our history.

Dusting off those pieces,
That we intend to ignore,
But our heart is too stubborn,
To set ourselves free.

Is that how life should be?

Tranquil.

A symphony lays on the stones,

By the shore that sings songs of life.

Wings fluttering,

At the end of the golden sunset.

Casting a shadow on the sand,

That made me play a mood,

Which flowes with the ambiance.

The chimes rhymes with the wind,

And the music lives.

Where can I achieve such tranquility?

Cozy Afternoon..

PHILOMINA LIGHTER! WHERE ART THOU?

Sep 20, 2011

"You don't know ah? So stupid you ah?" Yup.

After a long day in the Uni, it's nice to head home as soon as possible. To lie on your bed and listen to Jack Johnson soothing surf music.

Not to play 3 stages of Angry Birds to wait for the traffic light to go green.
Not to look at the cute baby in the car next to you in traffic and make faces at them.
Not to spend my time getting annoyed at drivers who doesn't seem to know how to use their vehicle.
Not to turn on my stopwatch to check how long does it take for the traffic to turn green when it's red.
Not to count how many motorcycles passed by to go to the front of the que in traffic.

I just want to go home and relax.

Degree's not easy. I'm not used to the concept that "You know the basics already so I'm gonna skip this part because you guys are the smartest people in the world since you have made your way into the degree programme!"

They're just like a rocket going through an vast, empty vacuum space. Never gonna slow down.

When you asked them to slow down a little or back track just a little bit, there will be a peculiar expression on their faces which says, "Paloi juak kau oh." , then proceed to explain. Still at the same speed.

I know that many of you are saying "That's degree programme for you." Signal's good, so I get the message.

Nevertheless, I would love to constantly fire a barrage of questions to them and see their "Bodoh anak tok eh" cause I wanna prepare myself to travel faster than their lecture.

Have a nice day people!

Expansion?

Physicist has proven that universe is massively expanding every second, but why do I feel like it's only my stomach that's expanding?

Am I defying the laws of physics?

Am I.. Just an image projected by my thoughts?

Am I.. Real?

Cool sink.

Honestly, I find this sink awesome. You may have already seen it before or you may have never thought such ingenuity in engineering ever existed.

I'm loving this.

You have to flexible in life. Really.

The hot weather in Kuching can really drive my good mood away.

How am I to focus on my studies when my mind keeps reminding me about the heat?

It's hot.

Yet sometimes it gets cold.

I guess it'll take some time to adjust.

9 months away from the books and study can really drain my so called 'studious' self.

I need to get use to the lectures.

The tutors.

I need to quickly adapt to their style.

I need to understand the way they approach their students so I can know how to approach them too.

My dad's friend once told me :

"In life, you've got to be like a snake. You have to bend your way around instead of just going straight in order to move. So when you hit a brick wall, you know how to move sideways and move onward again."

I used to believe that we should move straight in life without paying much attention to your left and right.

But then lately I was thinking about what my dad always tell me :

"In life son, it's not only about what you know, but who you know."

He often reminds that I should just put aside all the dislikes and be approachable and open minded to people that you rely on cause the end result would be self-rewarding.

I guess now that I'm away from here. I'm gonna live by these words. To smartly steer my way in life to and know the right people.

Cause now I believe that that would get me to somewhere I need to be.

A GOOD LIFE.

And no matter how bad any situation can be.
No matter how depressing life can be.
No matter how cruel people may be.

My dad would tell me :

"Don't care la. Do what you want and you think is right. If at this stage already you cannot tahan, it'll be much worse once you start working. People will step on you from all different places."

A few days ago, I was talking to my dad on the phone and he asked if I'm happy here. After complaining about the things I don't like it here to him, I answered him I am happy and excited. I meant it.

And I could hear the pleasure in his voice when he said that me being happy here is the number one concern for him and my mum.

Which just made me feel calm.

So I'm gonna swallow in all the bad and have fun here, while not forgetting to do my best to achieve my best.

Should there be any obstacles along the way, face it.

And take some time off once in a while cause the body and mind and soul need it.

random. haha.

Have a nice day peeps!

Will tomorrow morning come?

"I'll bet that you don't know anybody that could be so bad
but if you did you'd be wondering where I'm at
I'll be home when tomorrow morning comes"

I'll be home when tomorrow morning comes..

HAVE A NICE DAY PEEPS!

How do you determine the authenticity of your Malaysian blood?

Hey guys, try to answer these questions to see how Malaysian are you? Of course one must question the validity of these questions cause it is certainly biased. If you're a Sarawakian/Sabahan , you'll know what I mean once you try this out.

Apparently, the survey concluded that I'm less than an average Malaysian. Really? Come on la.

But of course, this is just for fun la kan?

I should not let this survey judge my blood.

*stupid survey said I'm not even an average Malaysian!*

Why don't you try it out?

*and join me in being a disappointed Malaysian*

Happy Birthday Bro!

Today's my bro's birthday. So the two of us, along with his girlfriend, Rose, went to have a buffet dinner in a place called Carvery in Abell Hotel.

We ate. I just want to let you guys know that we ate. We ate. And ate. And ate. Not because the we're afraid of the upcoming end of the world. Or not because the food was very good and that it was impossible to eat anything better. Not because I love to eat and puke and eat again. Certainly not because I'm trying to lose weight.

But it was so hard to say no to the waiters who kept on serving us a variety of meat which includes lamb chop, lamb leg, smoked beef, smoked chicken, sausages, and blah3.

I'm not complaining , but I think I bit a little more than I could chew. And sooner or later, your stomach just can't receive anymore input.

Because we failed on controlling our gastronomical desires, the three of us had to crawl to the car cause we could barely walk or maintain our balance.

If it weren't for the other patrons who kept on giving us words of encouragements like ;

  • Get up! You can do it!
  • You're almost there!
  • You're not fat!
  • You can do better!
  • Padan muka kau. Makan lagi banyak-banyak.
  • Just a little more!
We would never have turned back to our table to eat some more. Malaysians are very convincing supporters.

After continuous stuffing, we decided enough means enough. So we gave our wallets to the waiters and tell them to just take whatever they need to pay the bills and we left.

I'm stuffed. And I need the toilet now. Wanna join?

Before I head to the toilet and play Angry Birds, just wanna say that this post is specially dedicated to my bro, JJ! Happy Birthday pok!

 Birthday Boy
 Birthday Boy's GF.
Birthday Boy and the GF.

Scalded lover runs naked to police station.

From StarOnline.

The first paragraph of the news article read:

A man ran naked for 5km to the safety of a police station after his girlfriend splashed boiling water on his private parts.

Hmm.. 5km is quite a long distance. I can only imagine the pain he's going through while running towards the nearest police station.

I don't blame any Malaysian that did not bother to help. Just watch and laugh at a man who is screaming in pain while covering his private parts with his two palms. Why would you let a naked man running into you car, anyway?

And I'm sure the witnesses would crack a few jokes about this man like :

  • He must have forgotten to use his uniform on the way to work today.
  • Guess he doesn't like the weather here.
  • He must be a very proud and confident man.
  • I wonder if he's looking for a place to shower.
  • I think I wanna marry him.
I'm sure you have better jokes than this. Do share yours in the comments!

I find amazing that he actually ran for 5km despite the immense pain and humiliation he is going through. Hope everything turns out fine for him.

Have a nice day peeps!

It's only been 3 days la Rex.

Hi guys. It's been too long since my last update. I've just broken my own discipline. My rule that I should update my blog at least 3 times a week.

Where have I been?

I've just recently registered my self in Swinburne University Kuching. So being a newbie in this University stuffs, I find myself saying wow to many things that are new to me. Although I have to swallow and keep all the amazement to myself cause I don't want to look like boy standing in the middle of hallways admiring at something the students there have already seen/been for almost everyday.

I think I care a little too much bout what people say or think.

I shouldn't be. Cause if one doesn't get out of their shell and go socialise when they are in some place new, he/she would certainly be lost somewhere in between and have nowhere to go like a duckling who lost its mum.

Anyway, it's only been three days since University life began, and I believe I'm gonna like it here. Though, all my friends say the excitement would die in a month or two (as I have mentioned in one of my previous post).

But I hope this is the kind of a good start that would lead to a good climax that would eventually bring me a good ending.

Always think positive!
*at least try to think positive all the time*

So, I wish myself all the best. And I hope to meet more new friends along the way.

Oh, by the way, I did make a new friend, Duncan Yong, a chinese from KK, Sabah. He's doing the same course as I am. So I guess I'm gonna see him for a while.

*My friend, Melinya, said I look like a lion. That gave me whole different perspective on how see myself now.*

Have a nice day peeps! And I hope to find time to update my blog a little more frequent than this!

  1. Ikan Terubuk (Through-Box)
  2. Kasut Bata (The Brand)
  3. Twilight (Tuai Light. Tuai is old in Iban)
  4. Metallica (Pronounce it as Mee Tallica)
  5. Hollywood (Holy Wood)
  6. Disc Blue. (Disc Bulu)
  7. TaliBan.
  8. Mi Wantan (Mi One Ton)
  9. Lembugini.
  10. Pecah rekod.
  11. Di Thailand. (bengkok = Bangkok)
  12. Kenyah West. (Kanye West)
Please remember not all you pronounce the answer the way it meant to be pronounced, so it is actually OK if you want to call me a noob joker.

The jokes are meant for True Sarawakians!

So if you find this funny. You are a true Sarawakian!

And if you're not Sarawakian and find these jokes funny. You are a true Sarawakian for a day!

Have a nice day peeps!

To those aspiring ballers, we know how it feels.

My favourite YouTube comment of the day.

So many reasons to laugh about. Like recalling old school jokes!

To those whom it may concern. The following are list of jokes that I find to be very hilarious. If you don't get it, or don't find it funny at all. It's ok, we Sarawakians like to make our jokes that are beyond our time so you all may have something to laugh about in the near coming gloomy future. As for my case, these are old school jokes that really prove to win against the test of time.

By the way, lame jokes are funny too.

Here are some of them!

  1. Antara semua ikan, ikan apa boleh tembus kotak?
  2. Antara semua kasut, kasut apa paling berat?
  3. Antara semua cahaya, cahaya apa paling tua?
  4. Antara semua mi, mi apa paling rock?
  5. Antara semua kayu, kayu apa paling suci?
  6. Antara semua bulu, bulu apa paling lucah?
  7. Antara semua tali, tali apa paling ganas?
  8. Antara semua mi, mi apa paling berat?
  9. Antara semua lembu, lembu apa paling laju?
  10. Kapal terbang langgar lalat, kapal terbang terhempas. Apa pecah?
  11. Sebuah kereta terlanggar tiang lampu di tepi jalan raya. Mana bengkok?
  12. Antara semua Kenyah, Kenyah apa paling berkulit gelap?
I know many of you know the answers to all the questions. And you may not find them funny. But I do. Cause these kind of jokes remind me of my true nature as a Sarawakian. It reminds of home. Of who I am.

And it's nice to recall all these jokes (In cases like some of you that have forgotten about these humourous questions) and laugh to the things that made us laugh so hard when we were.. Uhmmm.. Younger perhaps? Haha.

I'll give out the answers tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy recalling all your childhood jokes and do share them in the comment section for others to see and laugh too!

The man!

As many of you might have already known, I was not excepted to enter in any government universities. And the repercussion of that result is that I lost hope in even wanting to enter any government universities. (skipping the appeal process. I know, I know. You can bludgeon me however you want.)

So the next step was for me to enter into a private university. And my choice was Swinburne in Kuching to go pursue for my degree.

Obviously, the top responses I get when I say I'm going to study in Swinburne is :

  • "Nevermindlah, your father is rich."
  • "No problem for you, you got money mah"
  • "Kau nang kaya sik hal."
  • "Kau hidup senang"
  • "Boss kau loaded bah"
  • "It's not a problem for you"
I know those who are joking around saying things like that, but I know many are being serious when they say I was holding a fist full of diamonds on the day I was born.

At most times, I wouldn't mind people joking about this, cause I would be jocular with them. But when it comes to studying in private universites in Malaysia, many knows it's not cheap; unless you were really born with diamonds in your hands!

Is it hard to understand that I want to further my studies and that my father is willing to go to that extra mile just to have enough to support me?

Why can't you say something like :
  • "Wow. You have an awesome, Dad"
  • "Your dad must really love you to do that"
Or maybe some words of encouragement :
  • "You should really work hard so that the sacrifices your dad has done will be worth it"
  • "Like your dad, you should be willing to go that extra mile too"
I'm not saying that I can barely survive there. It's the way most of you put is like I have a lucrative life whereby I can get anything I want, whenever I want it. Life ain't that easy and simple for me.

And I don't blame you guys out there for not understanding that part cause people like to jump to conclusion only by listening to one sentence.

"I'm going to Swinburne, though because there's....." "Phwaaaaa....!! You so damn rich la brother!"

No chance to explain.

A retired government servant, my dad still works under the hot sun at long hours just to ensure that there is food on the table, especially to compensate my alien gastronomy. And that I can receive the best education he can offer.

Since, my dad has given me this chance, I will get the best out of it. It's only way I can repay him.

To make him proud.
Not to disappoint.

I can write something that is much longer than this to portray my gratitude in words, but I know most of you won't read the whole thing. Haha.

When your father believes in you, he'll do almost anything to make sure you achieve your dream. And that faith your father has can make you feel like you can achieve anything. Awesome. Really.

So this is a simple post where the simplicity is at its best.

Specially for my Father, Mr Joseph Douglas Fonseka.
Love ya, dad.

 *Nang cool habis nya tok*

*I just realised I don't have a picture of me and my dad alone in my phone. This is the closest I could get. lol*

Have a nice day, peeps!

Teen lovebirds in a knot after kidnap scam

     *extracted from StarOnline*

WHEN a 17-year-old girl disappeared six days ago, her parents were distraught and approached the media to help find her.

They were further distressed when they received a call demanding RM50,000 ransom on Tuesday, and immediately lodged a police report.

However, on Wednesday when the girl was found, the relief felt by her 49-year-old father and 40-year-old mother quickly turned into despair.

Police told them their daughter was suspected to have conspired with her boyfriend to trick them into paying the RM50,000 ransom, reported Kosmo!.

The girl and her jobless 19-year-old boyfriend were arrested while getting into a car in Saujana Puchong at about 9pm.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar said police tracked the teenage couple following investigations into a threatening phone call made by an unknown man to the father demanding RM50,000 for her release.

The two are being held at the USJ8 Subang Jaya police station and their case is being investigated under Section 384 of the Penal Code for blackmail.

    *What happened*

Boyfriend : Sayang, hujung minggu nak buat ape ye? Hidup abang takda makna la sekarang ini. Duit takda.

Boyfriend : Adui. Malu la sayang. Handphone dengan baju takda. Takkan nak gi mintak bogel-bogel?

Girlfriend : Macamlah abang tak biasa.

Boyfriend : Betul juga. Jom pegi!

    *on the way*

Boyfriend : Eh. Eh. Eh. Jap dulu sayang. Apa kata kita mainkan perasaan bapa sayang?

Girlfriend : Idea yang bernas! Tepat betul lah masa. Kan sayang dah balik rumah seminggu. Mesti bapa dah risau. Beritahu sayang kena culik nak?

Boyfriend : Settle! *dials the girlfriend's father's number with a nearby public phone* Hello. Ini Encik Zulkifli kah? (name changed to protect true identity)

    Zul : Ya, saya.

Boyfriend : Dengar berita kau dah terima gaji besar bulan ni?

Zul : Kau nak kha? Bank dah penuh. Datang rumah lah k. Ada RM50,000 tinggal.

Boyfriend : Alaa.. Mana-mana la. Rasanya cukup la tuh. Tak boleh kah bagi banyak sikit?

Zul : Datang dulu. Kalau ada lebih boleh la bagi.

Boyfriend : Bodoh. Baiklah. Saya datang. Haish. Kalau takda duit. Nahas kau, anak kau mati kebuluran.

    Zul : Deal, pok!

*a nearby police had actually tapped their phone conersation just for fun, and being half-drunk, he thought it was ransom money; sensing there was a bad argument between them and hearing a word about Zul's daughter*

In the end, the couple got caught. The fact that they are still under investigation is because the police had found no proof to pin them guilty.

It's all just a misunderstanding, really.

Although I must admit that this is an unfortunate event.

    Have a nice day peeps!

My Room. Before and After I tidied it.

It was a long empty morning. So I decided to tidy my room a little. It is quite messy and makes me feel uncomfortable.

I am here to show you how it looks like before and after I clean up my room. Do tell me how I rate as a cleaner!

    BEFORE

Look at the amount of dust collected on the radio.

I let the pictures speak for themselves.

Anyway, here it is. After hours of dropping sweat and tears.
    AFTER

Stock piles of underwears in the corner behind the door so that your parents can't see them when they open the door. Smart.

Push everything aside and put your laptop on the table to make your table look more 'professional'. Smart

Put a stool next to your table for you to put your books that you need to easily take. Smart.

From this angle, the pile of clothing can't be seen. Smart.

Look at the amount of dust that has disappeared. Cover them with books or magazines. Smart.

Add a teddy bear to make it look cute and clean. Smart.

I even cleaned my whiteboard! White is clean. Smart.

Stock your clothing in a corner away from sight. Can be used for emergencies. Smart.

Always keep your cable in reach when you're sleeping. Smart.

I did well and smart, don't you think?

I put my whole heart into this, seeing how disappointed my parents were after seeing how messy and untidy my room is. I deserve a reward for this.

Anyway, how many of you out there tidy your room as good as me?

It is always a good day to tidy your room. I did mine. When will you start tidying yours?

    Have a nice day peeps!
